The Erasmus+ exchange programme has become very popular, with the numbers of student sojourners growing each year. However, it was observed that not all students benefit equally from the study abroad (SA) experience (c.f. Kinginger, 2008, 2009; Marijuan & Sanz, 2018; Mitchell, Tracy-Ventura & McManus, 2017; Regan, Howard & Lemée, 2009). Consequently, the main aim of the present study was to have a closer look at various factors that might contribute to the development of the target language among two small groups of students that self-selected themselves to do their language teaching practicum abroad, as a part of the Erasmus+ mobility program (n=6), or to do it at the local schools in the country of their residence (n=5). This study examined the relationship between Schwartz's (1992) 10 universal values and individual differences in empathy (Davis, 1983). Trait empathy was predicted to have the strongest positive relationship with benevolence values and the strongest negative relationship with achievement values. The pattern of correlations between empathy and the 10 values was closely associated with the predicted rank order of the correlations based on the Schwartz value system, but also varied slightly between a non-religious university (n = 284)and a religious university (n = 179).

Indonesia's young generation must be ready to become actors in the midst of global competition and free markets (AFTA) today. Psychological flow has been measured in several areas to analyse to what extent users are engaged in particular tasks, and is relevant in the design of products like software, videogames, and eLearning courses. Although there is an unknown number of questionnaires for evaluating different aspects of psychological flow, the research problem faced in this paper is the analysis of the validity of these questionnaires, since it has only been probed for some of them. Thus, our goal is to synthesize the current evidence regarding validated questionnaires in the English language for psychological flow measurement by conducting a systematic review according to the PRISMA framework. The present study intended to find Facebook addiction and its relation with academic performance of university students from Pakistan. Sample comprised of eighty students (n=80) in total whom are purposefully selected and equally divided according to gender. The universe was public sector higher learning institute named as The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. Cross-sectional survey research design was employed. Data were collected by use of Bergen Facebook addition scale. Data were analyzed from SPSS (21.0), descriptive statistics, correlation and regression analysis were computed to test the hypotheses. Results depict significant negative relationship between Facebook addiction and academic performance of students (β = -.907, t = -4.554). Conclusively, female students consume more time to use Facebook as compare to male students; hence, male students exhibit better academic performance. The authors examined whether individuals can fake their responses to a personality inventory if instructed to do so. Between-subjects and within-subject designs were metaanalyzed separately. Across 51 studies, fakability did not vary by personality dimension; all the Big Five factors were equally fakable. Faking produced the largest distortions in social desirability scales. Instructions to fake good produced lower effect sizes compared with instructions to fake bad. Comparing meta-analytic results from within-subjects and between-subjects designs, we conclude, based on statistical and methodological considerations, that within-subjects designs produce more accurate estimates. Between-subjects designs may distort estimates due to Subject × Treatment interactions and low statistical power.

Anorexia nervosa and body dysmorphic disorder are often co-morbid and relate to distortions in the perception of self-appearance. It has been proposed that they should be placed in a new body image disorders category in the DSM. Dimensional perspectives suggest that clinical and sub-clinical manifestations of these psychopathologies reside on the same continuum. We explored the correlates of sub-clinical restrictive disordered eating, and sub-clinical body dysmorphia in 396 participants. The essay relates the cinema author’s creative processes to the systems intelligence approach. The underpinning assumption is that cinema stands forth as an intersubjective frame of sensemaking. This idea is reflected against the early systemic views of the Russian filmmaker and theoretician Sergei M. Eisenstein. In its unfolding, the cinema author’s creative processes are described from a particular point of view, that is, that of the enactive mind point by means of introducing the neuroscientific concept of embodied simulation as the bodily basis of these processes. This is applied in the hypothetical model of cinema author’s mental workspace, the embodied simulatorium as it is termed. In this paper it will be discussed how embodied processes constitute what in this volume is referred to as systems intelligence.

This study analyses website brand communication by African nations using Aaker's brand personality dimensions. A multistage methodology focused on 10 African countries, using a combination of content analysis and correspondence analysis. We found that some countries have specific brand personalities while others are failing to communicate their brand personalities distinctly. This article illustrates a powerful, but simple and relatively inexpensive way for international marketers to study communicated brand personality. Although there are 53 countries on the African continent, only 10 countries were covered by this research. The intent was, however, to demonstrate a research method, rather than have comprehensive coverage of the African continent. The major contribution of this study is the use of a new research approach and set of tools that both tourism researchers and managers can use. The technique is easy to use, and the results are easy to interpret.

Among personality psychology theorists there is general agreement that personality is the result of multiple causes. Biological and environmental causes are especially mentioned. However, no coherent theory of causality is found among them to account for the multi-causality that affects personality. This article proposes that the Aristotelian-Thomistic theory of causality can provide personality theory with the necessary framework of understanding for a coherent and integrated view of this multi-causality. From this perspective, the term ' cause' is analogous, and has four main meanings: the material cause, the formal cause, the efficient cause and the final cause. These are not unconnected causes, but constitute a system in which each cause is reciprocally dependent on the other. Moreover, these four causes are genera, which contain other specific causes. In this article we propose to determine for each factor affecting personality one of these causes, showing the capacity of this causal theory to contribute to personality theory and to the philosophy of psychology from a Thomistic perspective. From the application of the Aristotelian-Thomistic causal theory to personality, it is proposed, finally, a complete definition of the concept of personality where each of the four causes is assigned, in comparison with other less complete definitions taken from authors relevant to the Personality Psychology.

At the beginning of 2020, COVID-19 became a global problem. Despite all the efforts to emphasize the relevance of preventive measures, not everyone adhered to them. Thus, learning more about the characteristics determining attitudinal and behavioral responses to the pandemic is crucial to improving future interventions. In this study, we applied machine learning on the multi-national data collected by the International Collaboration on the Social and Moral Psychology of COVID-19 (N = 51,404) to test the predictive efficacy of constructs from social, moral, cognitive, and personality psychology, as well as socio-demographic factors, in the attitudinal and behavioral responses to the pandemic. Penelitian ini beranjak dari adanya fenomena perilaku remaja yang mengarah pada perilaku narsistik yang diasumsikan dapat menghambat perkembangan aspek sosial remaja.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji berbagai hubungan yang ada antara tipe kepribadian dalam big five factor personality dengan perilaku narsistik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitan adalah siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Yogyakarta yang terdiri dari 200 siswa, 93 siswa laki-laki dan 107 siswa perempuan. Alat ukur yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kuesioner tipe kepribadian dalam big five factor personality dan kuesioner perilaku narsistik. Alat ukur tersebut sudah diuji validitasnya menggunakan penilaian ahli (expert judgment) dan uji reliabilitas menggunakan koefisien alpha cronbach melalui SPSS 22. Untuk kuesioner tipe kepribadian dalam big five factor personality diperoleh nilai koefisien alpha cronbach sebesar 0,936 yang berati alat ukur ini baik dan untuk kuesioner perilaku narsistik diperoleh koefisien alpha cronbach sebesar 0,905 yang berati alat ukur ini baik. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis crosstab. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian neurotisme dengan perilaku narsistik dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,041 (p<0,05), tipe kepribadian ekstraversi dengan perilaku narsistik dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), tipe kepribadian keterbukaan terhadap pengalaman dengan perilaku narsistik dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p<0,05), tipe kepribadian keramahan dengan perilaku narsistik dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,011 (p<0,05), dan tipe kepribadian sikap hati-hati dengan perilaku narsistik dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,002 (p<0,05). Dari hasil penelitian, bentuk perilaku narsistik yang banyak ditemukan pada subjek adalah eksploitatif, membutuhkan banyak pujian, tidak suka dikritik, senang memamerkan diri, dan menunjukkan perilaku sombong. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah guru BK disarankan memberikan layanan BK dengan melihat indikator-indikator perilaku yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap perilaku narsistik untuk mencegah adanya gangguan kepribadian narsistik pada siswa. The psychological changes which are happening in the brain as result of learning is a milestone to answer the question that how human (brain) learns. The purpose of this study is to better understand the contribution of obtained biological foundation of learning and afterwards explain effective learning and finally, better understanding mnemonics. In this regard, terminologies such as fundamental structure of nerve cells, axon, dendrite and nerve systems, how data are transferred in the nerve system, nerve impulse, electric generated in the tissue were explained this study. A developmental research of the relationship between the Big-Five and speed of information processing (SIP) was conducted with the aim of considering the personality-intelligence relationship. Personality dimensions were assessed by International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) questionnaire, while SIP and related test errors (Er--SIP) were assessed by Cognitive Abilities (KS2-2) pencil and paper perceptual speed test. The sample consisted of 1063 adolescents (378 males) at the age range from 14 to 18. The preliminary analyses showed that: (1) age related changes of SIP were weak and those of personality dimensions barely existed, (2) modest gender differences are found for all personality dimensions except for Intellect, and they are not found for SIP and Er-SIP, (3) reduced variability and significant distribution skewness systematically appeared only at Er-SIP, and (4) personality dimensions-SIP relationship was not curvilinear. The main analyses showed that: (1) SIP had low positive correlations only with Extraversion and Agreeableness, (2) Er-SIP didn't correlate with personality dimensions at all and (3) personality dimensions-SIP relationship mostly insignificantly depends on age and gender.

The influence of nannies and other significant caregivers on a child's psychological and emotional development may be profound and if unrecognized may contribute to psychopathology in adulthood. However, the significance of the nanny has been relatively neglected within the psychoanalytic literature. In this paper I will discuss the impact of early caregivers other than the biological mother on the psychic development of the child, and the role of the nanny within the family dynamics as a figure attracting powerful unconscious phantasies and unwanted projections. These ideas will be illustrated by a detailed account of a year-long observation of an infant who had a succession of several different nannies in her first three months before her parents employed a more permanent nanny. It is proposed that the baby's emerging attachments to her two primary caregivers, mother and nanny, developed in parallel and influenced each other, with observable impact on her behaviour and developing personality. The paper concludes with a review of the place of infant observation within psychoanalytic training and how the experience of witnessing the earliest infant-caregiver relationships in an extra-analytic setting both refines understanding of developmental theory and builds a foundation for psychoanalytic practice.

Workplace demands professionals with desirable personalities and influential persuasive ability. This research determined the personality type and persuasive strategies employed by Grade 9 students of San Pedro National High School, Philippines. It aimed to find its implication to the teaching of K to 12 English and persuasive writing. Using descriptive method and utilizing questionnaire as the principal tool for gathering data, the results revealed that majority of the respondents are female, had an Approaching Proficiency General Weighted Average GWA and are in the middle income. Adler was the first theoretician to speculate about birth order positions that elucidate personality and its development in many areas of counseling and professional psychology. The present study was aimed at examining birth order as a predictor of resilience, forgiveness, Locus of Control (LOC), and deceptive communication. A cross-sectional design was used surveying 200 young men and 200 women with an age range of 19-25 (M = 20.15, SD = .34) years that came from five public and private post-school educational institutions of Lahore, Pakistan. Risk entails every action, every level and every perspective of our lives. The ability to make advantageous decisions, to deal with uncertainties, to infer and estimate more or less probable outcomes, to manage risky or riskless situations compose the wider notion of risk literacy and may be inserted from formal preschool education. The current paper aims to enlighten the notion of risk literacy and safety education as a necessity in establishing pupils ready to accept failure, to achieve success, to take initiatives, to become self-competent, to develop probabilistic and statistical thinking, to confront uncertainty and in turn to face the challenges of modern risk society. It is argued that within the formal settings of preschool education, through developmentally appropriate activities, opportunities may be implemented in order to encourage children as future citizens to construct risk literate personalities. It is concluded that risk perception and management imply awareness, assessment, avoidance and adaptation and are connected with growth, maturity, practice, experiences, intuitions and computations.

This paper gives an overview of the state of the art research in the field of knowledge management, based on the articles with the key word ”knowledge management” at the conference on design (DESIGN 2014). First, it illustrates key obstacles to knowledge management which is necessary to be aware of when implementing knowledge management systems in companies. Obstacles affect the selection of the knowledge map model of the company that will be used during implementation. The methodology for the systematic improvement of knowledge of the company through defining goals, creating a map of the existing and desired knowledge and choice of measures for the advancement of the current to the desired state is described. One of the possible methods of evaluation of knowledge of the company is presented including the overview of the modes of transmission of knowledge, i.e. communication among co ‒ workers on a project that takes place in a global setting.

Vorgan) argumentujące tezę o różnym znaczeniu (pozytywnym lub negatywnym) Internetu/nowych mediów dla rozwoju osobowości. Language in social media reveals a lot about people's personality and mood as they discuss the activities and relationships that constitute their everyday lives. Although social media are widely studied, researchers in computational linguistics have mostly focused on prediction tasks such as sentiment analysis and authorship attribution. In this paper, we show how social media can also be used to gain psychological insights. We demonstrate an exploration of language use as a function of age, gender, and personality from a dataset of Facebook posts from 75,000 people who have also taken personality tests, and we suggest how more sophisticated tools could be brought to bear on such data.

The authors are members of a committee in charge of a special study module (SSM) entitled Principles of Medical Theory and Practice in a problem-based and integrated reformed curriculum track at the Charite ´, the medical school and university hospital of the Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. The SSM contextualizes medicine by highlighting the societal contexts of the doctor-patient relationship and the medical profession. Integrating the humanities into medical education helps students develop an awareness of the strengths and limitations of modern medicine, develop their own personalities and sense of social responsibility, and generally broaden their outlook. Teachers in the SSM seminars are from different disciplines, such as the history of medicine, bioethics, sociology, anthropology, and complementary medicine. Once a week, one or two teachers meet with as many as 21 students per group for a 90-minute course. Twelve courses constitute a seminar. Students are required to participate in four seminars during five years of studies. They can choose different topics from a set range. Although this SSM has been largely successful, some problems have occurred. Results from the course evaluations and experiences show that the seminars differ from one another in many ways. Financial restraints and the departmental structure of the faculty have influenced implementation of the SSM. However, the SSM is a new concept and is continuously reviewed and renewed. Future plans will be to specify outcomes, continue to discuss reasonable seminar topics, establish continuous support and training for teachers, and motivate students to become actively involved in the seminar discussions.

Dans cet article, nous presentons un outil permettant la prediction et la visualisation de l’activite cerebrale locale d’un individu au cours d’une conversation. Cet outil a ete utilise en particulier pour comparer l’activite cerebrale de conversation d’individu suivant que l’interlocuteur est un humain ou une tete parlante. Le module de prediction de cet outil est construit a partir de classifieurs entraines sur un corpus de conversations humain-humain et humain-machine incluant des donnees comportementales et neurophysiologiques. Le module prend en entree des variables comportementales calculees a partir de donnees brutes, principalement la parole du participant et de l’interlocuteur, la video de l’interlocuteur et les mouvements oculaires du participant, et permet de predire l’activite cerebrale de l’individu. Понятие «эмоциональное здоровье» активно обсуждается в научном сообществе и подвергается разнообразным трактовкам: отсутствие четкого определения приводит к использованию таких синонимов, как «эмоциональное благополучие» или «психическое здоровье», которые не в полной мере отражают особенности изучаемого феномена. Сложность определения эмоционального здоровья заключается в его связи с психологическим состоянием индивида и его социальным благополучием. Эмоциональное здоровье оценивается с помощью разных индикаторов (уровень стресса и депрессии, степень удовлетворенности жизнью, индексы счастья и т.п.), но авторы подчеркивают значение эмоциональной компетентности для достижения стабильного эмоционально-положительного самочувствия и успешного функционирования индивида в обществе. В статье приведены результаты качественного исследования разных аспектов эмоционального здоровья у представителей различных социально-демографических групп: респонденты высказывали свои представления об эмоциональном здоровье через иные типы здоровья — связывая его с психологическим, психическим или физическим здоровьем. Эмоциональное здоровье отражает общее эмоциональное состояние индивида и связано с умением испытывать разные эмоции, управлять ими, корректно реагировать на происходящие события и переживать их. Эмоциональное здоровье обусловлено субъективно ценностным восприятием человеком своего состояния, трактуется через понятие состояния или процесса, активности или пассивности, может экстраполироваться на себя или других. Эмоциональное здоровье имеет тонкую организацию и связано с чувствами, настроением, эмоциями, ощущениями, переживаниями, это не одномоментное состояние индивида, а совокупность его состояний в прошлом, настоящем и будущем. Исследования в области эмоционального здоровья показывают
сложность и многогранность данного понятия и требуют интегративного подхода для
его тщательной эмпирической проработки и полноценного осознания его роли в жизни
человека.

Amaç -Bu çalışmanın temel amacı yöneticilerin karanlık kişiliklerinin (narsist, makyevelist, psikopati) iş görenlerin işe adanmışlık düzeyine ve muhalefet durumuna etkisini belirlemektir. Yöntem -Bu amaçla ele alınan bu çalışma, örneklem olarak uluslararası bir işletmenin Türkiye pazarındaki seçilmiş dört bölge müdürlüğüne bağlı 289 satış personelini kapsamaktadır. Kolayda örneklem yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışmada veriler demografik, karanlık kişilik özellikleri, işe adanmışlık ve örgütsel muhalefeti içeren soruların yer aldığı anket tekniğiyle elde edilmiştir. Veriler Kasım 2018 ile Mayıs 2019 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Bulgular -Elde edilen veriler SPSS ve AMOS programları kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan anketlerin güvenilirliğini ve geçerliliğini test etmek amacı ile sırasıyla açımlayıcı ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizinden (DFA) yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmada amaca ulaşmaya yönelik oluşturulan hipotezler, korelasyon ve yapısal eşitlik modeli ile test edilmiş, sonuçlar bu doğrultuda yorumlanmıştır. Tartışma -Analizler neticesinde elde edilen bulgularda yöneticilerin karanlık kişiliklerinin (narsist, makyevelist, psikopati) işe adanmışlık üzerinde negatif, örgütsel muhalefet üzerinde ise pozitif yönlü bir etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir.

In today's era of globalisation, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) are no longer a stranger among universities and higher institutions. Many universities and colleges have started to make use of MOOCs as the platform for online learning in combination with face to face classroom for university courses. However, there are still many learners, especially university students who are not aware and familiar with the existence of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). In conjunction to this, researchers intended to investigate students' awareness towards MOOCs and the use of MOOCs in teaching and learning in higher institutions. The respondents of this study involved university students from various public and private universities. The findings have gathered that majority of the students are fully aware of MOOCs' existence, its powers, benefits and what MOOCs can offer. Through the social learning aspects in MOOCs, students can empower to grow in knowledge, soft skills and personalities. In conclusion, it is believed that MOOCs can be utilised to help teachers and future teachers to cater many types of learners and their proficiency.

The aim of this research paper is to analyze character of Mrs.Louise Mallard from "story of hour" which is written by Kate Chopin. This character is analyzed under the light of psychological theories of two great psychologists Sigmund Freud and Jacques lacan. The concepts of id, ego, and superego are focused along with concept of mirror stage,imagery, symbolism and the real. This research tries to analyze ,which type of response is shown by Mrs.mallard's on hearing the news of her husband's presumed death.

Анотація. У статті проаналізовано вживання дефініції «педагогдослідник» і складність її однозначного тлумачення. Розглянуто проблему одночасного поєднання педагогічної та дослідницької діяльності у шкільному середовищі. Акцентована увага на наукових підходах, на які має опиратися педагог вищої школи у своїй професійній діяльності для досягнення позитивних результатів. На основі аналізу наукових джерел описано рівні втілення педагогом дослідницьких проектів. Проведений діагностувальний етап експериментальної роботи серед представників українських науково-педагогічних шкіл дав змогу виокремити професійні, дослідницькі й особистісні групи характеристик педагога-дослідника. Усі категорії досліджуваних зійшлися на думці, що основними характерними рисами педагога-дослідника є креативність, професіоналізм і готовність до самовдосконалення, що і допомогло авторові сформулювати визначення категорії «педагог-дослідник» та зʼясувати ефективні показники його професійної діяльності. This paper looks at the history of identification in England over the past 1,000 years. It contends that techniques and technologies of identification do not identify a single entity but a number of forms of personality, including the juridical person, the citizen and the deviant. Individuals can be the bearers of more than one of these personalities at the same time, or over the course of their life. These personalities are created by social performances to which people are trained to react conventionally. As such identity, and its identification, is a social and cultural phenomenon, rather than a 'thing'. Each of the personalities noted above has been identified historically in differing ways -through possessions or techniques in the case of the juridical person, though the community in the case of the citizen, and on, or through, the body in the case of the deviant. In the contemporary world these distinctions are being effaced, as all forms of identification are being reduced to the body and the database. This levelling of social forms of being has implication for what it means to be a person in our society, and for public perceptions of new techniques and technologies of identification.

This makes the researcher aim to examine more deeply the Book Of Maulid Al Barzani so that a problem formulation is formed about the educational values of the personality of the prophet and how to emulate the personality of the prophet in everyday life. Researchers used methods with the type of library research. The main data source in this research is from the book Maulid A Barzanji, while other supporting sources are obtained from various books and other relevant scientific works. The researcher used document techniques to collect the data and used content analysis to analyze the data. Based on the results of the research Maulid Al Barzanji is a book written by Sayyid Ja'far Al barzanj, it contains an explanation of the biography the Prophet Muhammad SAW and his great and noble personality. The values of personality education possessed by Rasulullah SAW in Al Barzanji include 1) Tawadhu' attitude (humble and not arrogant).2) patience in the face of all kinds of trials and calamities.3) forgive all the ehaviors of people who hurt them and have no desire to repay them.4) friendly by always greeting people he often meets.5) loving and caring for the poor. As for how to emulate the personality of the Prophet in the form of behavior/actions in everyday life, namely by forming understanding, then through self-habitation and fnally the formation of noble spirituality.
