Mass mixing and CP violation in the B°-B ° system are studied in the standard six-quark model. The mass and width differences are obtained by reliable methods, and their radiative corrections included to leading logarithm. Constraints on the Kobayashi-Maskawa parameters are rederived in order to permit a quantitative account of B ° phenomenology. Strong evidence against the observability of CP violation in B°-B ° mixing is presented. * These fractions are based on solid-angle restrictions and detector efficiencies associated with the CLEO detector, * An analysis of KM parameters in the presence of such corrections has been performed in ref. [28]. See also ref. [29].

Weak mixing and CP parameters for the B"-B"and B,-B, systems are computed in the Kobayashi-Maskawa (KM) model and found to exceed previous estimates. New values for the KM angles are presented. Explicit calculation of h, I~from the absorptive part of the B-B mixing amplitude and a formalism for large CP violation are included.

We find the domain of the values of mr, "r B and R (the top quark mass, the B-meson lifetime and F(b-* u)/F(b-, c) respectively) for which the standard six-quark model is consistent with the observed CP violation in the kaon system and with the recent experimental results for B-meson decays. The mixing angles 02 , 03 , the phase 6 and the ratio e'/e are calculated as functions of m t, % and R. The sensitivity of the analysis to the variation of the "bag" parameter B and the band c-quark masses is investigated. Two types of calculations are presented: one wbSch takes into account the KL-K s mass difference and the other one which ignores it. We discuss the implications 1 of a possible discovery of a top quark with m t below 30 GeV and we point out that for B ~< ~ and m t ~ 0(25 GeV) a simultaneous consistency of the standard model with the data for %, R, e and e'/E cannot be achieved. Furthermore for B~< ~ and m t ~< 35 GeV we find e'/e/> 0.01. No interesting upper bound on m t follows from KL ~ ~g.

The phenomenological predictions of the Gronau-Johnson-Schechter ansatz on the quark mass matrices with maximal CP violations for four generations of quarks are presented. The main results are: (i) the b'-quark (charge - 1/3 fourth generation quark) has to be quite light (m b' 60 ...
Proceedings of 9th International Workshop on the CKM Unitarity Triangle — PoS(CKM2016), 2017
We summarize the new results on B meson mixing and mixing-related CP violation presented at CKM2016. We place these results in the context of both previous experimental measurements and the most recent theoretical developments in the field, and discuss prospects for ongoing and future mixing and mixing-related CP violation measurements.

Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1998
A brief overview of flavour-changing phenomena is presented. The main topics discussed are the universality and Lorentz structure of the leptonic charged-current couplings, our present knowledge of the quark-mixing matrix and the future prospects for CP-violation studies.

We explain a framework to analyze effects of new physics beyond the standard model on B-bar{B} mixing and CP violation in B decays in a model-independent manner. This framework is based on classification of the weak interactions of B meson. Assuming that tree level decay amplitudes are dominated by the standard model ones, new physics contribution to the B-bar{B} mixing

The semileptonic CP asymmetry in B^{0}-B[over ¯]^{0} mixing, a_{sl}^{d}, is measured in proton-proton collision data, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb^{-1}, recorded by the LHCb experiment. Semileptonic B^{0} decays are reconstructed in the inclusive final states D^{-}μ^{+} and D^{*-}μ^{+}, where the D^{-} meson decays into the K^{+}π^{-}π^{-} final state and the D^{*-} meson into the D[over ¯]^{0}(→K^{+}π^{-})π^{-} final state. The asymmetry between the numbers of D^{(*)-}μ^{+} and D^{(*)+}μ^{-} decays is measured as a function of the decay time of the B^{0} mesons. The CP asymmetry is measured to be a_{sl}^{d}=(-0.02±0.19±0.30)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. This is the most precise measurement of a_{sl}^{d} to date and is consistent with the prediction from the standard model.

We investigate M~ ~ mixing and CP violation in the minimal left-right symmetric gauge model with spontaneous P and CP violation. The dominant contributions to the mixing amplitude including QCD corrections are calculated explicitly for B~ ~ While the amount of mixing is not much changed with respect to the standard model leftright symmetry can give rise to significantly larger CP violation in the Bs ~ _/~o system (up to two orders of magnitude for the dilepton charge asymmetry). Sizable CP violating effects require that the left-right contribution to the KLK s mass difference has the same sign as the standard model contribution. We also comment on D o _/5o mixing including a careful discussion of the standard model prediction for the short distance part.
