This study investigated the effect of instructional materials on the teaching and learning of social studies in secondary schools in Aba south Local Government Area of Abia State. The research was guided with three purposes, three research questions and hypothesis. Survey design was adopted and both students and teachers constituted the population for study. A sample of hundred subjects w’as drawn from five schools and was administered questionnaires. Data collected was analyzed using simple percentage (%) for research question and chi square for hypothesis. However, the three hypothesis were tested at 0.05 level of significance and were all rejected. Creating a positive learning environment through one’s self-efficacy and instructional management can serve as barometer for students’ success. This study aims to find out the correlation of teachers’ efficacy and instructional management being important predictors of students’ scholastic performance. The study employed quantitative descriptive method using descriptive statistics. There has been a rapid increase in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in our educational system. This descriptive, comparative, and correlational study investigated the use of AI-powered tools and examined 86 teachers' efficiency and 274 students' performance in a private Catholic school in Bacolod City, Philippines. The researcher developed a researcher-made questionnaire to gather the data. Major findings revealed that teachers used AI less frequently, often used it for tutoring, with ChatGPT being a popular choice. Students, on the other hand, reported using AI weekly, primarily for tutoring. While AI integration seemed to enhance teacher efficiency, male teachers perceived themselves as more efficient than females. Generally, the results show that AI contributes to an efficient teaching process with a mean score of 3.60, verbally interpreted as somewhat efficient. The results revealed that AI had a significant improvement on both male and female students. Interestingly, no significant differences were found in teacher efficiency and student performance when grouped according to sex using Mann-Whitney U-test. Using Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, the data revealed no correlation between the student performance in AI and the teachers' efficiency in AI. In light of these findings, the study recommends implementing programs and training to help teachers use AI more effectively and engage students. Additionally, it emphasizes the need to address any barriers educators may face in adopting AI, create supportive environments with equitable access to AI resources, and implement strategies to address potential gender biases in AI adoption.

This study looks into how using ChatGPT in statistics classes affects students' participation and motivation in UAE higher education. A difficult subject that is frequently seen negatively, statistics can lower students' motivation and involvement. This study investigates how such integration might enhance students' learning experiences by utilizing ChatGPT, an AI-driven platform that offers interactive and tailored help. Regression analysis was used in a quantitative study design to evaluate the connection between ChatGPT integration and shifts in student involvement and motivation. University students were given a structured survey to complete in order to get data on their motivation and level of involvement after utilizing ChatGPT for their statistics assignment. The findings show that ChatGPT has a statistically significant beneficial impact on motivation and engagement, indicating that AI-based tools can be crucial in fostering a more encouraging and stimulating learning environment. By demonstrating ChatGPT's capacity to satisfy students' demands for independence and individualized instruction, these results advance educational theory in line with Self-Determination Theory. In order to improve learning results and student happiness in higher education, the study's managerial implications for educational institutions suggest using AI tools to boost student motivation and engagement.

O processo de compartilhar conhecimento entre os indivíduos ou grupos de uma organização é muito importante para o desempenho organizacional, por isso há um crescente interesse de pesquisadores sobre esse tema. Os indivíduos e grupos, nas organizações, tem que compartilhar conhecimento para manter e melhorar a vantagem competitiva. O Projeto Chiquitos na Chiquitania Boliviana sob a ótica da Extensão Universitária, proposto pela Universidade Técnica Particular de Loja (Equador) e da Universidade Católica Boliviana "San Pablo" objetiva através de ambientes tecnologicamente apropriados difundir a pesquisa e impulsionar o desenvolvimento de uma região remota e socialmente carente. Na busca pelo alcance desse objetivo há compartilhamento do conhecimento entre os membros do projeto. O estudo parte da pergunta de pesquisa: "Como acontece o processo de compartilhar conhecimento em um projeto de extensão universitária?". Por meio de estudo de caso, os resultados obtidos demonstram que o compartilamento ocorre de três formas, por meio de equipes estruturadas, TICs e canais de comunicação informais. Conclui-se que as formas atendem adequadamente as necessidades do projeto, porém os membros sugerem reuniões ao ar livre, maior envolvimento da equipe nas reuniões e, melhor serviço de internet.

This chapter describes the shared planning, design, and implementation of three similar courses in Arabic, Hebrew, and Turkish about three major cities: Cairo, Jerusalem, and Istanbul. Using the theme of a city enabled us to integrate historical and current cultural materials as well as relevant vocabulary, grammatical concepts, and practical linguistic skills. It also allowed us to focus on questions of social justice while promoting critical thinking and empathy for the target culture. The courses were developed during weekly virtual meetings in summer 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although the courses use different languages and cultural content, all three courses have comparable unit structures and designs and a common pedagogy with similar learning goals. Our work offers a blueprint that can pave the way for productive collaborations across different languages at other institutions.

This research explores the perspectives of kindergarten through to Grade 12 (K-12) teachers on incorporating information and communication technology (ICT) into the environmental education (EE) curriculum. In the context of the increasing influence of ICT in education, this study examines both the potential enhancements ICT offers to EE and the challenges it poses. Using data from an online survey and an in-person focus group, the investigation addresses the capacity of ICT to promote environmental stewardship and personal growth, alongside concerns regarding technology's potential to alienate students from nature and the divided opinions among educators regarding optimal technology use. Attention is given to systemic barriers that complicate EE integration and the variability of its implementation in Ontario, Canada, where EE is mandated across K-12 curricula. The findings illuminate educators' concerns about digital dependencies among their students and the difficulty they face in striking a balance between the use of ICT and non-technical pedagogical approaches when engaging students in environmental lessons. Importantly, study participants identified limited contemporary and timely technological tools to support EE delivery that deemphasize using personal mobile devices (e.g., smartphones and tablets). In response, we recommend three forms of technology (and accompanying lesson ideas) that are affordable, easy to integrate into classrooms, and do not require off-site trips, thereby enhancing accessibility and equity. This study's implications are aimed at educators, policymakers, and stakeholders seeking to enhance EE delivery within a technologically evolving educational framework and ensure the development of environmentally conscious students.

Teachers have been asked to integrate new technologies with didactic education as it happened during COVID-19 times; this has been a real opportunity to review disciplinary and methodological approaches and to enhance features that usually traditional teaching does not use. The learning and the epistemological constructions are promoted also by the use of targeted software that may support the conceptual difficulties in Physics Education through high level of students’ interaction. Our work proved to be quite successful in achieving this support in learning: during the first lockdown period, we proposed a learning unit on the concept of force according to the Newtonian Dynamics using the Desmos software to students in the secondary school. The technological integration is crucial to complete the educational project and it could also be promoted in a non-emergency teaching setting.

Regardless of the state-religion relationship, religious education occupies a unique place in the curriculum of the general education system of the majority of democratic states in the first quarter of the 21st century. The reason is not only the organic connection of religion with a nation's culture and value system or the increase in the number of citizens separated from their cultural heritage due to the influence of secularization. The inclusion of religious education in national education systems is also related to the interaction of religion and politics in various international conflicts, the global threat caused by numerous radical religious groups in several countries, the transition from mono-confessional societies to multi-confessional societies as a result of globalization, and other social and political factors. While facing common international problems related to religion, each state independently decides on its religious education model in the national curriculum as a part of state policy. Although independent religious subjects are not taught in the public schools of Azerbaijan, religious education is carried out in an integrative form within the framework of social and human sciences by applying the learning about religion model. In addition to subjects like History, Literature, and the Azerbaijani language, where integrated brief information about religion is provided, basic information about religion is taught in the Life Science textbooks, which have been taught in public schools since 2004. The content and framework of this information are prepared based on the educational program (curriculum) for the Life Science subject for secondary schools of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This article examines the historical development process of religious education at the international and local levels as an understudied subject in Azerbaijan. For this purpose, the article investigates the position of religious education in the global educational environment, studies the impact of state-religion relations on the model of religious education, and analyzes the current situation of religious education in Azerbaijan’s secondary schools.

The study aims to determine learning effectiveness on training based on the Teams Learning Tournament (TLT) model combined with Google Classroom application.  The research method used is descriptive qualitative collected through observation and qualitative analysis.  The research was conducted in 2020 held in Teachers’ Training of Basic Islamic School (MI) Pangandaran. The results showed that TLT learning model combined with Google Classroom application can manage learning effectively.  The results showed that TLT learning models supported by the Google Classroom app can effectively manage learning, which can be seen from an increase in attitudes in liveliness of up to 100%, an average knowledge increase of 80.75% and the skills of participants can skillfully compose a predetermined learning product with an average skill score of 85.86. CCITA, hoy es más relevante que nunca generando un espacio de interacción humana para discutir sobre la tecnología y sus próximas incursiones en el mundo del aprendizaje, en especial con el desarrollo acelerado de la IA y la innegable necesidad del análisis de datos para la educación en prácticamente todos sus aspectos. Un educador del siglo XXI no puede estar al margen de estas nuevas realidades, por lo que tenemos que plantearnos el nuevo rol que tendremos que tomar los seres humanos en relación con los procesos educativos y de gestión del aprendizaje en un mundo en el que la tecnología cada vez juega un papel más preponderante.

This paper reports on work undertaken within a pilot study concerned with the design, development, and evaluation of online computer science training courses. Drawing on recent developments in e-learning technology, these courses were structured around the principles of a learner-oriented approach for use with adult learners. The paper describes a methodological framework for the evaluation of three main educational issues involved in the learning process of Web-based computer science training courses, and analyzes the results of this study with the aim of providing an improved learning design, and environment, for these courses. The findings highlight a number of potential barriers to learning and indicate the failed indicators that need to be improved in order to enhance effective performance. The authors give their views both on ways to improve the proposed learning environment and on the need for an optimal balance between asynchronous and synchronous activities, enhanced collaboration, and interactions among adult learners and e-tutors.

This paper reports on the investigation of the possibilities of enhancing the formal e-learning process by harnessing the potential of informal game-based learning on social networks. The goal of the research is to improve the outcomes of the formal learning process through the design and implementation of an educational game on a social network and its integration with a learning management system (LMS) of an educational institution. As a proof of concept, a Facebook educational game that enables students to learn and test their knowledge was developed. Furthermore, the game was integrated with the Moodle LMS and the evaluation was performed within the e-learning system at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade. The results show that the application of social network edutainment in an e-learning ecosystem has a positive impact on both the students' results and their satisfaction with the learning process as a whole.

This research discusses a systematic and technical linguistic policy for acquiring linguistic skills and setting standards for teaching Arabic language curricula, its literature and culture for school levels. Teaching Arabic is witnessing an important stage; first, as a result of the increasing awareness of educational decision-makers and parents of the status of mother tongue in shaping the identity, and second, with the increasing interest of children of speakers of other languages in learning Arabic. This places a great responsibility on Arabic language teachers and teaching centers in Arab countries and internationally. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the dialogue about the most effective educational and pedagogical methods to attract the children of Arabic language, its inheritors and those wishing to learn it to master it at its eloquent level, and to acquire linguistic skills in the age of digitization and generative artificial intelligence with advanced curricula.

This paper examines the impacts and benefits of distance learning programs, including their contribution to expanding access to education, fostering lifelong learning, and promoting educational equity. It also explores the challenges and limitations associated with distance learning, such as the need for reliable internet connectivity, technological infrastructure, and student engagement. Through a systematic analysis of scholarly articles, reports, and case studies, this review provides insights into how distance learning programs are shaping the future of education on a global scale. Additionally, it discusses the implications for policymakers, educators, and students, highlighting the potential of distance learning to bridge educational gaps, promote inclusivity, and empower individuals to pursue education regardless of their geographical location or socioeconomic circumstances.

In this paper, a methodological educational proposal based on constructivism and collaborative learning theories is described. The suggested approach has been successfully applied to a subject entitled ''Computer Architecture and Engineering'' in a Computer Science degree in the University of La Laguna in Spain. This methodology is supported by two tools: the Moodle platform as a collaboration framework among students and teachers and a free Instruction Level Parallelism (ILP) processor simulator called SIMDE, developed by the authors to promote the experience and help the understanding of superscalar and VLIW processors. This work is described showing how the constructivist and collaborative approaches have been applied and how the activities have been structured temporarily in phases. This educational proposal has been validated and improved with the feedback of the students during two academic years. Furthermore, the methodological procedure is also suitable to be used not only in subjects with contents which require the understanding of dynamic situations but also in subjects with other requirements.

Pelayanan kepada pelanggan merupakan suatu strategi untuk tetap eksis dan unggul dalam persaingan, dengan pelayanan yang baik, perusahaan dapat mempertahankan dan bahkan meningkatkan pelanggannya. Oleh karena itu dilakukan penelitian untuk membangun sistem dengan aplikasi yang bertujuan untuk memberikan layanan akademis dan informasi mahasiswa kepada STIE Indonesia. Adapun metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan analisis proses layanan terhadap mahasiswa dan Biro Administrasi dan Akademi melalui survey, wawancara, pengamatan langsung. Dari analisis diketahui bahwa aplikasi layanan akademis dan mahasiswa kurang efektif dan efisien, aplikasi yang kurang user friendly, keterbatasan kemampuan aplikasi yang sudah cukup tua, serta layanan informasi terhadap mahasiswa minim. We investigated factors that may relate to posJUve outcomes in a web-based introductory nutrition course: age, gender, prior nutrition knowledge, nutrition attitude, attirude toward technology, satisfaction with the instructor, aod satisfaction with peer interaction. Fifty-four students completed pre-post surveys of knowledge, altitudes, and course satisfaction. When adjusted for multiple variables, satisfaction with the instructor and prior nutrition knowledge related to achievement in nutrition knowledge from pre-to posttest. Age, satisfaction with the instructor, and prior nutrition knowledge predicted course grade. Satisfaction with the instructor and satisfaction with peer interaction related to self-reported learning. Satisfaction with peer interaction, satisfaction with the instructor. and attitude toward technology predicted course satisfaction. Satisfaction with the instructor and age related to a student's willingness to improve nutrition behavior. Satisfaction with the instructor predicted a student's perceived increase in computer competence. Findings provide evidence that srudent interaction with instructors and peers has important implications for success and satisfaction in online learning.

This is the report of a project funded by the British Educational Communications and Technology Research Agency (Becta) to identify the key—but forgotten—information and communication technology research projects in the UK between 1980 and 1999 and to review the contribution that these projects can make in informing the current Becta research agenda and making future research more efficient.

A main challenge faced by non-profit organisations providing computer science education to under-represented groups are the high drop-out rates. This issue arises from various factors affecting both students and teachers, such as the one-size-fits-all approach of many lessons. Enhancing social inclusion in the learning process could help reduce these drop-out rates. We present JsStories, a tool designed to help students learn JavaScript through interactive stories. The development of JsStories has been informed by existing literature on storytelling for inclusion and insights gained from a visit to HackYourFuture Belgium (HYFBE), a non-profit organisation that teaches web development to refugees and migrants. To lower barriers to entry and maximise the feeling of connection to the story, we incorporated narratives from HYFBE alumni. Further, we adhered to educational best practices by applying the PRIMM principles and offering level-appropriate content based on knowledge graphs. JsStories has been demonstrated, evaluated and communicated to the different stakeholders through interviews and a survey, enabling us to identify future directions for story-based learning solutions.

This article deals with the strategies 'of institutionalising scientific, technological and educational co-operation in the context of recent Euro-Mediterranean relations. In order to understand the process of creating a new kind of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation policy in those areas of activity. it is necessary to have a broad view of the social contexts that determine that same process. The newest phase of socia-,economic modernisation, what is often referred to as the 'information era', is responsible for changing both the concept and the institutional structures of international cooperation between universities and in the science and technology sectors. One of the key aims of the renewal of the co-operation policy before and after the ministerial conference held ~n Barcelona 1995 is the promotion of the vision of the innovative university in the southern and eastern Mediterranean countries, one that actively responds to the needs of the new political economy an'd new strategies of scientific, technological and educational cooperation, in the Euro-Mediterranean region. This article critically addresses this ideal for the southern university, taking into account the fundamental issue of socio-cultural sensitivity, as this is manifest or absent in the Barcelona framework. It is argued that the broad consensus that was present among the various European and non-European participants of the working groups at the Forum Civil Euromed -a consensus that emphasised the gap in the southern Mediterranean countries with respect to technology and urziversitybased research -could be said to be the direct result of the way in which these 'fora' were organised. It is claimed that different voices might emerge, and therefore the conceptual basis of cooperation broadened, if participants from other sectors of civil society were 10 be involved. J 55 asymmetrical relations, with European ideas about science and education being used as a modernising strategy by colonies or nation states. The focus on asymmetrical patterns of interaction, together with the conceptualisations that underlie such relations, are, however, too limited in scope when one considers the situation over a longer historical perspective. We may, for instance, refer to the golden era of philosophytarid science in the Arabo-islamic world during the Middle Ages. The tmnslations and comments of classic Hellenistic science made by such figures like Ibn Sina (Avicenna) were passed on to European researchers. The impact of the Arabic-speaking world on the birth of modern empirical science and scientific-technological culture at large has been crucial Lindberg, 1978). Moreover, as noted also by Sultana (1999) in his article in this issue, the institutional history of higher learning is generally much longer along the southern rather than the northern shore of the Mediterranean. The transfer of knowledge, in this perspective, followed rather more a south-north rather than a north-south trajectory. The eurocentric view of the history of 'Western' science and technology lacks cultural sensitivity towards the early institutionalisation of higher education and scientific studies in the Arabo-islamic or, more widely, in the oriental world. The issue of socio-cultural awareness in scientific, technological and educational cooperation between European and Arabo-islamic Mediterranean states has a long history, and one can indeed tease out continuit,ies between that tradition and the contemporary world. Such continuities can be postulated despite the foapid changes brought about by the globalising economy and its effec.ts on the international system. At the same time, though, we have to have an open mind in order to discern the relevant changes in the structures and patterns of interaction and co-operation between the north and the south. It is necessary to keep in mind such complexities if we are to understand the state and the nature of co-operative relations in the areas of research, technology and education (hereafter referred to as RTE) and the challenges that have to be faced in the present-day Euro-Mediterranean context. My focus will be specifically on the more recent developments in the cooperative structures ofRTE in the E~ro-Mediterranean region. In doing that, I will attempt not to lose sight of the continuity that marks scientific interaction in the region, despite the fact that the concern is with changing structures. Operationally this will mean a mOd'erately critical stance towards current eurocentrism and the ahistorical ways in which RTE co-operation is both conceptualised and institutionalised. Such an epistemological starting point will also keep at bay an unreflective and sceptical attitude towards new possibilities for socio-culturally sensitive and sustainable institutionalisation of RTE co-operation. This research paper investigates the motivation and confidence of Indonesian teachers of non-English to learn English and to use it as a medium of instruction resulting from their participation in a blended learning course. The purpose of the English learning for this particular group of teachers was to enable them to create English-speaking teaching and learning environment. Such environment is perceived as necessary to enhance English language learning and acquisition in some Indonesian vocational schools. The levels of motivation and confidence have been an issue because they potentially either contribute to or hinder English language learners to learn and use English for interactions. En este trabajo se presenta una experiencia de divulgación técnica abierta al público en la que los estudiantes de titulaciones TIC presentan trabajos de clase en formato PechaKucha. El principal objetivo de esta actividad ha sido que los estudiantes puedan exponer a un público amplio los interesantes trabajos realizados en diferentes asignaturas, dando así a conocer estas asignaturas a futuros estudiantes y poniendo en práctica su competencia como oradores. Los autores consideran que la experiencia puede ser útil como actividad extracurricular de divulgación y que resulta interesante y motivadora para estudiantes y profesores.

This study examined the relationship between the effectiveness of modular distance learning (MDL) implementation and learners' academic achievement in Araling Panlipunan in Quezon II District, Division of Bukidnon, during the school year 2020-2021. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed, involving public-school teachers as respondents. The researcher-developed instrument achieved a reliability score of 0.751 using Cronbach's Alpha. Findings revealed that most respondents were middle-aged, female, Grade 1 teachers, baccalaureate degree holders with master's units, and had attended 1-2 webinars on using modules in teaching. Teachers in Quezon II District were found to be moderately effective in implementing MDL, while pupils achieved satisfactory performance in Araling Panlipunan. No significant differences in implementation effectiveness were observed across teachers' demographic profiles. However, a significant relationship existed between the level of MDL implementation and pupils' academic achievement, particularly in the areas of Learning Environment and Community-Industry Relevance Partnership. Recommendations include encouraging teachers to pursue graduate studies for professional growth and recognizing teachers and parents to sustain effective MDL implementation. Parents are urged to support their children through home tutorials, and the Department of Education is advised to conduct webinars focusing on Learning Environment and Community-Industry Relevance Partnerships.

In recent times, research has shown that industries adopt distributed database system to improve their operations such as real time data exchange via remote database access. Traditionally, application connection to database is established using the database information such as database name, username, and password and IP address of the database server over a network. Studies in the past have shown that a number of security threats come to play in this approach as the database is exposed on that network. Much work has been done to tackle those threats but the proposed solutions huge processing. In this research a web-service-based remote database access method is proposed reducing the security threats by avoiding direct access. Another advantage of this approach is that it is platform-independent. An experimental case study of Nigerian Universities Certificate Verification System was designed and implemented using the proposed methodology.

El presente estudio, pretende realizar un análisis acerca de la incidencia del uso de internet en el tiempo libre de los niños, tomando como referencia a estudiantes del Sexto Año de Educación Básica de la Unidad Educativa Nuestra Familia. Para llegar a las conclusiones pertinentes se ha investigado acerca de conceptos de Internet, tiempo libre, usos pedagógicos, influencia psicológica y los e-derechos de los niños entre otros puntos. Debido a los avances tecnológicos y la vinculación de estos a la sociedad de manera inminente, Internet adquiere la dimensión de derecho para el uso de los niños, quienes se enfrentan a varios riesgos identificados en la navegación por las redes: Cyberbullying, sexting, grooming, etc. La adicción y la encapsulación en el mundo que provee Internet hace que cada vez más se pierda el contacto cara a cara y es evidente la pérdida de la socialización en la vida real. El uso de internet en los niños puede encontrarse con los peligros antes citados, si no existe una normación adecuada para su uso y una constante supervisión de los contenidos que contemplan los "nativos de la red". Las reglas para su uso deben ser claras, comenzando desde casa, mientras que la enseñanza, para optimizar este instrumento en pro de su educación, debe sentar las bases y la guía que permita un buen nivel de conocimiento, previniendo los riesgos de la navegación. Los distintos gobiernos, los padres y las instituciones educativas, están llamados a formar un fuerte para la vigilancia y buen uso que los niños hagan de Internet.

As primeiras décadas do século XXI vieram reforçar a consolidação das tecnologias como recurso desejável e incontornável em diferentes esferas da vida social. De igual forma, no campo da educação, a inovação e a mudança das práticas curriculares têm sido reconhecidas como essenciais para que a educação e, em particular, as escolas consigam responder às exigências de uma sociedade que, vincada à economia do conhecimento, vê com especial interesse o fomento de um conjunto de competências intrinsecamente ligadas ao manuseio e desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias. Em Portugal, esta expetativa complexificou o trabalho pedagógico de um corpo docente que, como se sabe, se encontra bastante envelhecido. Importa, por isso, averiguar o que pensam os professores acerca dos contributos que a formação contínua lhes pode propiciar ao nível das tecnologias, de modo a poderem responder de forma mais cabal a esses desafios. Neste artigo, são mobilizados dados relativos às perceções, expetativas e reflexões de cerca de 70 professores veteranos (com alargado percurso profissional) que participaram numa formação em tecnologias móveis para fins educativos, na tentativa de sistematizar a sua relação com a integração pedagógica da tecnologia em educação. Para o efeito, recorremos aos questionários aplicados aos participantes no início da formação, destacando o perfil destes professores, com o intuito de visibilizar algumas tendências da sua relação com as tecnologias móveis. Além disso, exploramos as potencialidades da formação como instrumento de re(encantamento) e desenvolvimento profissional, a partir das reflexões redigidas pelos participantes no término da formação.

In this paper we investigate how authoring activities of adaptive educational hypermedia content may cultivate e-learning content development skills, and promote reflection on learning design issues. Developing content for adaptive educational hypermedia systems is a demanding task that engage authors in self-explanatory activities and deep investigation of resources that correspond to learners' multiple profiles and confront to specific learning design principles implied by the authoring tool. In this paper we present an empirical study where teachers worked in groups and used INSPIREAuth to author content for INSPIRE and review content developed by peers. The strategies they used, the benefits they recognised and the difficulties they faced in this process, are described. The possible implications for extending the design of INSPIREAuth are briefly discussed.

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada materi Subnetting dengan menggunakan modul pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Subjek pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa Kelas XI TKJ SMK Negeri 2 Surabaya yang telah menempuh mata pelajaran Rancang Bangun Jaringan. Metode penelitian menggunakan eksperimen dengan desain True Experimental Design dalam bentuk Posttest Only Control Design. The rapid proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has sparked widespread debate about their societal implications, prompting a need to understand public attitudes, particularly anxiety, toward AI. This study aimed to develop and validate a scale to measure AI-related anxiety, exploring its correlates across demographic groups. Using an online survey of 708 Romanian adults conducted in October 2024, we constructed a 14-item scale with a 5-point Likert format, balancing positive and negative statements. Psychometric validation, including structural equation modeling to address method effects, confirmed the scale’s reliability (Cronbach’s alpha > 0,7) and fit (CFI = 0,963, RMSEA = 0,053). Results revealed that AI anxiety varies by education, occupation, income, and region, with lower anxiety among the highly educated, self-employed, and high-income individuals. Convergent validity was supported by correlations with technological readiness (-0,411) and a summated AI anxiety score (0,698). These findings align with prior research on AI perceptions and underscore the role of information access and experience in shaping attitudes. Despite this scale offers a robust tool for assessing AI anxiety, with implications for tailoring AI adoption strategies to diverse populations. Future research should pursue longitudinal and qualitative approaches to deepen understanding of this evolving phenomenon.

Bu araştırmada, velilerin çocuklarının matematik ödevlerine yönelik görüşleri ve çocuklarının matematik ödev ve çalışmalarındaki rolünün belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, kesitsel tarama modelinden yararlanılarak gerçekleştirilen betimsel bir çalışmadır. Çalışmanın örneklemini 2014-2015 öğretim yılında İzmir'de yaşayan ilkokul birinci sınıf ile sekizinci sınıf arasında devlet ve özel okullarda çocukları öğrenim gören 215 veli oluşturmaktadır. Velilerin çocuklarının matematik ödev süreçlerindeki inanç ve rollerinin ne olduğunu ölçmek için araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilmiş olan "Matematik Dersi Ödevlerinde Aile Katılımı Anketi" kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçları velilerin; verilen ödevlerin, matematik başarısına olumlu etkisinin olduğuna inandıklarını ve çocuklarının matematik ödevlerine destek olduklarını göstermektedir. Diğer taraftan bulgular velilerin önemli bir bölümünün ödevler konusunda çocuklarına doğru destek olup olmadıklarından emin olmadıklarını ve bu konuda öğretmenlerden destek görmediklerini ortaya koymaktadır.

In recent years, Maker Education has gained popularity in formal education, but the perceptions of pre-service teachers after participating in a maker training program at a university-based makerspace remain to be explored. The purpose of this study is to analyze the acceptance level and the degree of motivation of pre-service teachers towards the maker educational approach. The research assesses attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction according to Keller's motivational model, as well as the acceptance of the maker approach using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study focuses on Early Childhood Education pre-service teachers from UPV/EHU (University of the Basque Country) who have been involved in designing teaching and learning plans based on Maker Education. The results show a strong motivation among the pre-service teachers in terms of attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction towards the maker approach. The study also highlights a high level of technology acceptance. These findings underline the positive impact of maker-based learning methods and suggest that greater motivation correlates with the positive attitudes towards integrating this pedagogy in the future. In light of these findings, integrating innovative maker pedagogy into teacher training appears to be beneficial, as the high levels of acceptance and motivation indicate its potential to equip students with essential twenty-first century skills.

Despite a growing body of research in New Literacies, the balance between providing strong New Literacies instruction while maintaining required traditional literacies instruction has been difficult for teachers. Incorporating ever-changing technologies can feel superficial, emphasizing a technology tool rather than the “ethos” of New Literacies. Despite efforts to increase the use of technology in the classroom, students still feel a disconnect between in-school and out-of-school literacies as in-school literacies, even with technology, do not capture the ethos of out-of-school experiences. Traditional education is also known as customary education, whereas the blended mode of education includes e-learning tools and technology combined with teacher-centric traditional classrooms. To achieve better educational outcomes, it is crucial to consider the satisfaction level of students. This helps in enhancing understanding and enriching the learning process. This study aims to assess student satisfaction between these two modes. The study was conducted through a survey and crosssectional research method, employing a quantitative research design. The data, randomly collected, comprised 110 respondents, with the majority being females and fewer being males. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS software, with regression and correlation tests performed. The results indicate that the blended mode of education had a significantly higher impact on student satisfaction compared to the traditional mode. This review highlights the vital role played by the blended mode of education in facilitating a better understanding of lessons for students. The use of digital technology in traditional classrooms makes lectures and concepts easier to comprehend for students. However, it is important to note that this study had limitations, and future researchers should explore additional factors for a more comprehensive understanding.

In a counterbalanced treatment design, 12 elementary school aged children read under two conditions; (a) independent, silent, and with mentor help as necessary; and (b) computer assisted, with visual and auditory delivery of text (via Kurzweil 3000). A repeated measures multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) revealed no significant difference in the composite mean for their comprehension and reading rate scores based on presentation strategy (F (2,9) = 1.10, p = .37). Results from this MANOVA also revealed no significant difference in the composite mean of comprehension and reading rate scores based on students' processing speed (F (2,9) = .20, p = .82).
