Fermilab high-energy photoproduction experiment E687 measu.res a branching ratio of l?(Q + &~+v)/r(IIt -+ &r+) = 0.58 f 0.17 (stat) + 0.07 (sys). This branching ratio is combined with theoretical inputs to obtain a new measurement of the D$ absolute branching ratio of r(D$ + @)/r(D$ -+ all ) = 0.031 + O.OOS(stat) + 0.005 (sys) h 0.004 (theoretical).

The absolute branching fractions for the decays are measured to be BF (D + → K − π + e + νe) = (3.50 ± 0.75 ± 0.27)%, BF (D 0 → K 0 π − e + νe) = (2.61 ± 1.04 ± 0.28)%,

Using the CLEO II detector we measure B(D + s ! e + )=B(D + s ! e + ) = 1:24 0:12 0:15, B(D + s ! 0 e + )=B(D + s ! e + ) = 0:43 0:11 0:07 and B(D + s ! 0 e + )=B(D + s ! e + ) = 0:35 0:09 0:07. We nd the vector to pseudoscalar ratio, B(D + s ! e + )=B(D + s ! ( + 0 )e + ) = 0:60 0:06 0:06, which is similar to the ratio found in non strange D decays.

The process e + e − → µ + µ − has been studied by SND detector at VEPP-2M e + e − collider in the φ(1020)-resonance energy region. The measured effective φ meson leptonic branching ratio: B(φ → l + l −) ≡ B(φ → e + e −) • B(φ → µ + µ −) = (2.89 ± 0.10 ± 0.06) • 10 −4 agrees well with the PDG value B(φ → e + e −) = (2.91 ± 0.07) • 10 −4 confirming µ-e universality. Without additional assumption of µ-e universality the branching ratio B(φ → µ + µ −) = (2.87 ± 0.20 ± 0.14) • 10 −4 was obtained.

We present a model-independent measurement of B(0;-+ +z-)/l3(Do-+ K-r+) by partially reconstructing the decay 'B"-f D*+Df-. Using data collected with the CLEO II detector at CESR, we determine Z?(0,;-+ @-) /B(Do-+ K-r+)-+ Dsy) = 100% and l3(D,F-+ qfm-) = 3.5 f 0.4%. The systematic error does not include the error due to B(DF-+ &r-).

We have measured the branching ratio for the hyperon radiative decay "~E p from a sample of 211 6 33 events obtained in the polarized 375 GeV/c charged hyperon beam at Fermilab. We find B(:-~Z p/:" -+ A z ) = (1.22 6 0.23 6 0.06) x 10 where the quoted errors are statistical and systematic, respectively. We have also obtained an indication that the sign of the asymmetry parameter of this decay is positive.

Recently published measurements of the branching ratios Bð ð1SÞ ! C ð1SÞÞ and Bð ð2SÞ ! C ð1SÞÞ by the CLEO Collaboration are examined in the context of a potential model that includes both relativistic and one-loop QCD corrections to the quark-antiquark interaction. The prediction for the width Àð ð1SÞ ! C ð1SÞÞ is in excellent agreement with the new data, but the prediction for Àð ð2SÞ ! C ð1SÞÞ is too small. In an effort to understand this discrepancy, we derive an upper bound on Àð ð2SÞ ! C ð1SÞÞ and point out its experimental value saturates this bound.

Using the CLEO-II detector at CESR we have measured the ratio of branching fractions, B(D + → K − π + π +)/B(D 0 → K − π +) = 2.35 ± 0.16 ± 0.16. Our recent measurement of B(D 0 → K − π +) then gives B(D + → K − π + π +) = (9.3 ± 0.6 ± 0.8)%.

The branching ratios of p/5 annihilations into the neutral final states 2n ~ n~ and 27 are measured by stopping antiprotons in liquid hydrogen. They are B2~o=(2.06+_0.14)x 10-4 , B~o~=(1.74 _+0.22) x 10-s, and B~< 1.7 x 10-6 (95% c.1.).

This article presents the first measurement of the ratio of branching fractions B (Λb0→ Λc+ μ-ν̅ μ)/B (Λb0→ Λc+ π-). Measurements in two control samples using the same technique B (B̅ 0→ D+ μ-ν̅ μ)/B (B̅ 0→ D+ π-) and B (B̅ 0→ D*(2010)+ μ-ν̅ μ)/B (B̅ 0→ D*(2010)+ π-) are also reported. The analysis uses data from an integrated luminosity of approximately 172 pb-1 of pp̅ collisions at√ s= 1.96 TeV, collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron.

In an experiment performed at the CERN-SPS charged hyperon beam, we have observed the radiative decay A-~ n T, using well identified A from the decays of E-of ll6GeV/c momentum. Neutrons and photons from the A decays were observed in liquid argon and lead glass detectors. From a sample of 31 candidates, containing an estimated background of 7.3 events, the decay branching ratio was measured to be F(A~nT)/F(A-~all)=(1.02 _+0.33) x 10-3.

We report measurements of branching fractions of τ lepton decays to final states with a K 0 S meson using a 669 fb −1 data sample accumulated with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetricenergy e + e − collider. The inclusive branching fraction is measured to be B(τ − → K 0 S X − ντ) = (9.15 ± 0.01 ± 0.15) × 10 −3 , where X − can be anything; the exclusive branching fractions are B(τ − → π − K 0 S ντ) = (4.16 ± 0.01 ± 0.08) × 10 −3 , B(τ − → K − K 0 S ντ) = (7.40 ± 0.07 ± 0.27) × 10 −4 , B(τ − → π − K 0 S π 0 ντ) = (1.93 ± 0.02 ± 0.07) × 10 −3 , B(τ − → K − K 0 S π 0 ντ) = (7.48 ± 0.10 ± 0.37) × 10 −4 , B(τ − → π − K 0 S K 0 S ντ) = (2.33 ± 0.03 ± 0.09) × 10 −4 , B(τ − → π − K 0 S K 0 S π 0 ντ) = (2.00 ± 0.22 ± 0.20) × 10 −5 , where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. For each mode, the accuracy is improved over that of pre-B-factory measurements by a factor ranging from five to ten. In τ − → π − K 0 S K 0 S π 0 ντ decays, clear signals for the intermediate states τ − → π − f1(1285)ντ and τ − → K * − K 0 S π 0 ντ are observed.
